Educational Services

Educational services are provided by qualified special education teachers. Teachers employ various instructional techniques in the classroom including sensory integration, applied behavior modification, and multi-modality communication systems. Classroom behavior therapists assist in the implementation of all educational and behavioral goals.

Educational services are also available to students who reside in the surrounding communities. Referrals must be made by the student's home school district.

Services offered

Highly individualized treatment plans focus on receptive and expressive communication skills, behavior management, daily living skills and interpersonal relationships. A social-behavioral model is utilized which follows the principles of the behavior management approach.

Psychological services, speech/language therapy, pre-vocational therapy and educational services are tailored to meet individual needs and treatment objectives.

Intensive programming and interventions are tailored to the age and diagnoses of the children and adolescents served. The goal of treatment at Pine Grove, Inc. is to enable children and adolescents to overcome behavioral problems and enhance functioning and independence to the degree that they may be safely stepped down to a less restrictive setting.
