Anita F. Gotwals is Pine Grove Inc.’s Executive Director. Anita received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Special Education from Winthrop College and has done post-graduate work at the University of South Carolina. Anita began her career with Pine Grove in 1973 as a special education teacher. During her 34 years with the facility she has served as the Head Teacher, Assistant Director and Director.
Anita has served on the on the Ethics Committee at Midlands Center, a state residential facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities for the past 4 years. She has presented poster sessions at the Southeastern Psychological Association, conducted workshops for various professional groups, and served on SC Department of Social Services Group Home Regulations Task Force.
